Bruce Davidson opened the doors of Davidson Insurance on March 1, 1990. Before moving his young family to Vancouver, he accrued experience in the insurance industry at an established agency in Reno, Nevada where he received his B.S. in Business from the University of Nevada.
Since starting Davidson Insurance, the agency has grown from a one-man shop to an agency of 11 professional insurance advisors. Bruce, who is a Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC), delights in serving his clients in the role of a trusted advisor.
“We have had the privilege of working with some of our clients for more than 20 years,” Bruce says. “That is an honor.”
A key aspect of working with our clients is helping them to understand the potential risks that are around them. Protecting loved ones and businesses takes more than a compliance mentality. “Understanding what each policy does and does not provide is a challenge for clients. We simplify that challenge and make it understandable,” he says. “Every day, we see policies afford protection to our clients against financial loss.”
Highly involved in the community, Bruce has been an active member of the Rotary Club of Vancouver since 1989 and is a Past President (2005-2006). He has been a member of the Clark College Foundation Board of Directors since 2003 and was previously Chair of the Board (2008-2010). He is also a member of the Fort Vancouver National Trust Advisory Board.
Bruce lives in Vancouver with his wife of 34 years, Lani, and enjoys spending time with their daughter Heather, son-in-law Ram, grandchildren Cole and Eve, and son Bryce, who has joined the agency. He likes traveling, running and “attempting to play golf.”
