Davidson & Associates Insurance Agency has been selected as the 2026 Small Employer of the Year by Clark County’s National Disabilities Employment Awareness Month (NDEAM) Awards program, recognizing the agency’s commitment to creating meaningful employment opportunities and fostering an inclusive workplace.
The award highlights employers who demonstrate outstanding support for individuals with disabilities through workplace inclusion, accommodation, and opportunities for meaningful employment. Davidson & Associates Insurance was honored for its dedication to building a workplace where every team member can contribute, grow, and succeed.
One example of that commitment is reflected in the success of team member Chelsy Smith, who serves on the agency’s administrative team. Working three afternoons each week, Chelsy plays an important role in daily office operations, including processing and distributing incoming mail, preparing welcome kits for new clients, maintaining office organization, restocking supplies, and caring for office plants. Smith came to the agency via Employers Overload Supported Employment Division, which helps connect individuals with developmental disabilities to workplaces to help build an inclusive, sustainable staffing model.
“Chelsy’s contributions help keep our office running smoothly each day,” said Tara Gonzalez, Administrative Manager at Davidson & Associates Insurance Agency and Smith’s manager. “She approaches her responsibilities with care and consistency, and her positive attitude makes a difference throughout our office. We are grateful to have her on our team and honored to receive this recognition.”
