All You Ever Wanted to Know About Insurance

Get Ready for Flag Day 2017!

In celebration of Flag Day, Davidson & Associates Insurance is offering an American flag exchange program for the public. Residents may pick up a new 3’ x 5’ flag and/or drop off old flags at the Davidson office, 610 Esther Street, Suite 101 in downtown Vancouver, Monday through Friday, June 5-9, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

“Flag Day is such an important way to celebrate our country and Vancouver’s strong commitment to patriotism,” said Bruce Davidson, President of Davidson & Associates Insurance. “We are honored to offer new “Stars and Stripes” to our residents and to sponsor in Flag Day events at Fort Vancouver on June 14.”

Fort Vancouver District Boy Scouts of America will perform proper flag retirement ceremonies for all old flags. Exchanged flags should be removed from poles and dried if wet.

Davidson & Associates Insurance Representing PEMCO Insurance is the presenting sponsor of the Fort Vancouver National Trust’s 23rd annual Flag Day at Fort Vancouver. The ceremony will be held Wednesday, June 14 at 5 p.m. at the historic bandstand across from Grant House, 1101 Officers Row, on the Fort Vancouver National Site.

Kids’ activities will be set up around the Bandstand, including coloring and drawing Washington’s state symbols, learning patriotic songs, learning to march like a soldier and being a “landmark detective.” Although anyone may participate in the activities, Brownie Girl Scouts have the opportunity to earn their Celebrating Community Badge by completing the activities. To register a troop, go to fortvan.org/flagday and click on the Girl Scouts of SW Washington link.
