May Referral Rewards Partner: the Parks Foundation of Clark County

When we look around at our beautiful community, we sometimes forget about the work needed to maintain our parks and natural landscapes. Our May Referral Rewards Partner, the Parks Foundation of Clark County, cares for our environment through education and local partnerships and invites our community to join with them to help our parks system flourish.

Here are just a few of the invaluable programs the Parks Foundation provides:

  • Sensory Camp is a seven-week summer camp carefully designed to provide elementary school children with Sensory Processing Disorders a place to be themselves in a positive camp environment.
  • The Battle Ground Veterans Memorial was dedicated in 2015. The memorial is engraved with the names of 31 honored veterans, "local service men who died in service to our country." You can recognize a veteran in your life by purchasing a brick to be engraved and placed at the memorial. Funds raised through these brick sales help to pay for memorial maintenance and operation.
  • The Old Evergreen Highway Trail is one of the Foundation's current projects. The highway trail spans 6.5 miles from Wintler Park to Camas. The Parks Foundation is working to restore the trail so that joggers, pedestrians and bikers can enjoy this beautiful part of Clark County.
