All You Ever Wanted to Know About Insurance

Harper's Story will "Pawsitively" Make you Smile!

Throughout the Spring, we celebrate numerous dog related holidays! National Pet Day on April 11th, Dog Mom Day on May 11th and National Rescue Dog Day on May 20th. It seems only fitting that our dog loving agency would also sponsor an animal related event this Spring, and we are excited to enjoy Hike the Dike with February Referral Rewards Partner, West Columbia Gorge Humane Society on June 8th.

In attendance at the event, not only will you find 1 year old Australian Cattle Dog Mix, Harper walking side by side with her new owners and younger brother, Hudson, but in your SWAG bags, Harper’s Banana Pup Pop Recipe (also pictured below)

Harper came to the Pacific Northwest nearly 3 months ago, she was thought to be born as a stray and was found at 6 months old on the streets of Lake Jackson, a town outside of Houston, Texas. Houston has struggled with a growing problem of stray animals after Hurricane Harvey hit in the late summer months of 2018. Texas, along with having an abundance of adoptable animals, also has a high percentage of breeds being working dogs, such as Australian Cattle Dogs like Harper and many people are looking for breeds that are less commonly bred in these parts.

Anyone that has met Harper always wonders the same common questions – with her sweet and loving temperament, unique markings and overall spunk, how could no one want her?....

After struggling for six months to be adopted at a local shelter at Lake Jackson, Harper was transferred to Washington with hopes of finding her family.

Enter our team member Emily McCoy & her fiancé Logan Roesch.

After losing their last rescue dog to cancer at the age of 12 in 2018, Emily & Logan knew that they would eventually need to find a new companion for their one year old Golden Retriever, Hudson. Two months of looking on the shelter websites every day & visiting the shelter during their lunches- they found the perfect fit. Harper had just been transferred and put up for adoption when Emily saw her picture on the adoptable pet section. She quickly knew- this looked like the perfect pup. The next morning, they were standing outside the shelter doors five minutes before opening, eager to meet little Harper and it was a perfect match. Emily mentions that her favorite memory of bringing Harper home was her first night, she fell asleep with her new toy on her bed, so content and wagging her tail in her sleep.

Harper has transitioned remarkably into her new life. She enjoys her routine evening walks, exploring new dog parks every weekend, hiking in the Gorge and swimming at the beach with her 5 dog cousins. We’re so happy to have this pup in our Davidson & Associates family and are proud that she finally has a home and a family to call her own. Furthermore, we are honored to be a sponsor of the Hike the Dike Fundraiser for our Community Partner: WCGHS which makes such a positive impact on our community.
